Favorite Books & Authors
Of course, Harry Potter.
JoJo Moyes.
Jane Austen.
Catch-22.
Kurt Vonnegut.
Andy Weir.
Favorite Movie
The Martian. It’s entertaining and is light enough that I can watch it over and over again. I also love the story of Andy Weir publishing his first novel on his website & having such massive interest and success. The book is very well-written and
humorous.
I adore the first three Pirates movies.
For a once in a great while movie: Sense & Sensibility
Music
When I’m writing, I usually need quiet, but I do create playlists for books, sort of like a movie soundtrack. Those really vary based on the tone of a book.
Otherwise, I love the Piano Guys or soundtrack scores for good background music. Other favorites: Jimmy Buffet, Barenaked Ladies, Sister Hazel, 50s/60s/70s upbeat tunes, Imagine Dragons, Ben Rector, & pretty much anything from Guardians of the Galaxy.
Travel Bucket List
Japan is next up. We had a trip planned for May 2020, then 2021, & we’ve rescheduled to 2023. Fingers crossed.
Iceland.
Ireland.
Alaska.
& Hawaii is always a good idea.
I also have a strong nostalgic bond with a Disney park. That bond is expensive.
